Amit Ghosh, while an Information Systems faculty at UTEP, began this technology journey by serving the needs of the art community. As co-founder of BorderSenses (2000), an El Paso-based arts organization, he began to work on the website and management of the organization through technology. Amit also worked with his students on various technology-related community projects involving non-profit organizations. Student projects had its limits, and Amit’s ad hoc technology organization began to serve these needs. The variety of projects involved networking, databases, websites, and even custom programming. Over time, governmental, medical, and for profit groups were served by this group, loosely termed BST. It was being called in to support a plethora of projects! In 2011, BST El Paso (Bright Sol Tech El Paso, Inc.) has finally evolved into an institution in its own right. With a new team, renewed energy, and a brand new office, BST El Paso is ready to take on the technology needs of the community, at home and away.

The Team
Amit Ghosh
President/CEO
Amit enjoys programming, databases, and all aspects of the internet, but what gives him the most satisfaction is helping all types of businesses arrest the power of technology. Knowing the power of how information systems can evolve a business, he strives to make others realize this. “Bringing technology to business is what BST is all about,” he says.
He has been teaching in the IT field (both corporate and academic) for over 20 years, most notably at University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), Clark University (Corporate Training), and Wentworth Institute (Boston). He also has a strong interest in the arts, serving as co-founder and Executive Director of BorderSenses, a literary arts group. He has earned a MSEE from Tuskegee University, AL, and a MFA (Creative Writing) from UTEP.
Robert Arellano
Lead Developer
Robert is a recent graduate in Information Systems from UTEP. He loves developing applications but can whip up some eye-catching designs as well. A lover of open source design, he is competent in .NET platforms as well. When he is not coding or day dreaming about his next big application, you can catch him drooling over a pixel perfect design.

Sebastian runs our business from the ground up. From easing the communication from our developers to our clients to scattering across the sun city finding wonderful projects we can always sink our teeth in. Sebastian has worked all over the area, has a solid systems foundation, and is finishing his degree in Information Systems from NMSU.
